Wills & Estates

Yes everyone needs a Will otherwise no one will know where any of your assets are to be distributed.  This includes banks and the Lands Titles Department.  Without a Will a more complex application needs to be submitted to the Supreme Court to decide how your assets will be disbursed.

There are strict time frames with regards to applications for Will Disputes.  You will need to contact a solicitor quickly to seek advice as to your eligibility to dispute the Will.

Firstly the original Will needs to be located and bank accounts placed on hold.   An application to the Supreme Court for Probate needs to be prepared depending on the assets of the estate.  Once a sealed grant is received the estate may be distributed.
